Are Cystitis and UTI connected?
UTI encompasses cystitis and is a superset of it. Cystitis is basically bladder inflammation while UTI is a broad term for infection of the tract that facilitates urine from the kidney to the bladder. It is also true that bladder infections make one pro to urinary tract infections, so its like a cycle. Frequent bouts of other UTI can cause cystitis.

How long before Cystitis leads to comlications?
No definite answer to that - Could be a month or could be lot later - but complications like kidney infections are a real prospect, not to speak of the pain and discomfort you may have to go through.

Can cystitis be a problem to unborn babies ?
Cystitis doesnot harm the unborn baby. Take the antibiotics prescribed by your doctor and you should be fine.
 
How long before antibiotics gets rid of cystitis?
You should be ok within 3-4 days. Always complete the course of antibiotics.
